Las Vegas likes to make a big deal about how it is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States with a burgeoning cultural scene; but don't kid yourself, the main reason to visit Vegas is to be amazed by how tacky the city is.
Sure there are some top quality museums and there is an impressive programme of big name theatre productions, but the real draw is the glitz and neon glamour, plus the allure of cheap buffet meals.
Vegas is a fun city to visit, but after a few nights you'll be ready to move on to somewhere a little more authentic.
