McCarran International Airport is one of the world's busiest airports and is served by more than 40 airlines with direct flights to over 125 US cities. The airport is at the southern end of the Strip, 8km from the city centre but much closer to the Strip.
Bus route 108 connects the airport to the city centre via the Strip, route 109 goes to Fremont Street (in the city centre) and bus 109A goes to the Southern Strip Transportation Center.
Greyhound coaches connect Las Vegas with Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and San Francisco.
Chinatown bus lines also serve Las Vegas providing a cheaper alternative for travel to Los Angeles and San Ysidro/Tijuana. Fares of around $25 to $30 for travel between Las Vegas and Los Angeles are typical.
