Baltimore

Local Transport

Baltimore's Maryland Transit Administration (MTA; tel 866 743 3682; website www.mtamaryland.com) operates a network of buses, light rail and a metro line and is complemented by the MARC suburban train network.

The light rail and metro systems are the easiest to use, and most travellers find that the light rail is the most useful for getting around the city. You'll need to catch buses to get to many parts of Baltimore such as the Greyhound and Chinatown bus stops.

Bus, light rail and metro tickets cost $1.60 for a one-way ticket and a day pass costs $3.50.
