Dating from the 12th century, this impressive Singagua cliff dwelling sits atop a mesa overlooking the Verde Valley, 16km south of Sedona. Although you aren’t permitted to get right up to the ruins, there is a path that provided great views.
The park (tel (928) 567 5276; website www.nps.gov/moca) is open summer 8am-6pm daily and winter 8am-5pm daily. Admission to the park is $5 per person.
